We want you to join and be a part of this unique event which serves as a public platform for cross-culture inspiration and borderless networking. 26C3 is fun! Topics ====== The 26C3 conference program is roughly divided into six general categories. These categories serve as guidelines for your submissions (and later as a means of orientation for your prospective audience). However, it is not mandatory for your talk to exactly match the descriptions below. Anything that is interesting and/or funny will be taken into consideration. Society ------- Technology development causes great changes in society and will determine our future. This category is for all talks on subjects like surveillance practices, censorship, hacker tools and the law, intellectual property and copyright issues, data retention, software patents, effects of technology on kids, and the impact of technology on society in general. Hacking ------- The "Hacking" category addresses topics dealing with technology, concentrating on current research with high technical merit. Traditionally, the majority of all lectures at 26C3 revolve around hacking. Topics in this domain include but are in no way limited to: programming, hardware hacking, cryptography, network and system security, security exploits, and creative use of technology. Making ------ The "Making" category is all about making and breaking things and the wonderful stuff you can build in your basement or garage. Most welcome are submissions dealing with the latest in electronics, RepRaps, lasers, 3D-printing, climate-change survival technology, robots and flying UAVs, steam machines, alternative transportation tools, guerilla-style knitting, and wearable hardware hacks. Science ------- The "Science" category covers current or future objects of scientific research that have the potential to radically change our lives, be it basic research or projects conducted for the industry. We are looking for talks and papers on the state of the art in this domain, covering subjects such as nano technology, quantum computing, high frequency physics, bio-technology, brain-computer interfaces, genetic hacking and hackteria, automated analysis of surveillance cctv, map-making, psychogeography etc. Culture ------- Shaping the world we live in means making it more interesting, entertaining and beautiful. The hacker culture has many facets ranging from electronic art objects, stand-up comedy, geek entertainment, video game and board game culture, electronically generated music, 3D art, and everything that bleeps and blinks to e-text literature and beyond. If you like to show your art and teach others how to make their lives more enjoyable, this category is for you. Community --------- In addition to individual speakers the Chaos Communication Congress is also inviting groups such as developer teams, projects and activists to present themselves and their topics. Developer groups are also encouraged to ask for support to hold smaller on-site developer conferences and meetings in the course of the Congress. However, financial help on travel expenses and accommodation is possible. It needs to be agreed upon after acceptance of the submission, though. So don't worry about your English skills: the language of a submission is not a criteria for accepting or rejecting it! Lecture Requirements ==================== Lectures should not exceed 45 minutes plus up to 10 minutes for questions and answers. Longer time slots are possible if we feel the topic demands it (please tell us if necessary). Papers ====== Accepted speakers can optionally hand in a paper which will be published with an ISBN in the 26C3 Proceedings. Papers will be accepted in Portable Document Format (PDF) only and should be around 5-10 pages. The PDF file must not be password-protected or contain other restrictions. Paper size should be DIN A4 (297x210mm) in portrait orientation. All margins must be set to at least 2 cm (0.78 inches). Pictures should be high-contrasted, greyscaled and up to 300dpi. Apart from that, you are free to use any layout you want. Slides ====== Accepted speakers are asked to hand in slides used in their talks. Please use a well-known format for your slides. PDF is a wise choice. Publication =========== Audio and video recordings of the lectures will be published online in various formats. The Chaos Communication Congress Proceedings are published on paper and online. Only reviewed and accepted talks and presentations will be published. Es un evento abierto (que no es lo mismo que gratuito, a menos que hayais nacido despues del 16 de agosto de 2003), dedicado al hacking en sus mas amplias concepciones, que se viene celebrando cada cuatro años desde 1989 en los Paises Bajos.

Se celebrara los dias 13 a 16 de agosto 2009 en Vierhouten.

The national ahaCamping meeting will take place on the 3rd, 4th and 5th
of October 2008 at the S.A.L.E in Venice (The Salt Warehouses, Dorsoduro
187-188). The AHA mailing list, hosted by the Italian independent server
Isole Nella Rete (Islands in the Net), is the core of the networking
project AHA:Activism-Hacking-Artivism , which
was founded in 2001 by Tatiana Bazzichelli aka T_Bazz and was awarded in
2007 at the ARS Electronica Festival in Linz with an Honorary Mention.

The ahaCamp was created from the need of approximately 600 subscribers
of aha@ecn.org to meet each other for the first time face to face, to
discuss the themes of artistic, political and technological activism, in
a situation that is very different to that which existed when the list
was initially created. Themes such as the analysis of Web 2.0 (in
economical, social and technological terms), the relationships between
artistic activities and digital technologies, and the linguistic and
relational deconstruction of “communication” practices are just a few of
the core themes of the meeting. The meeting aims to create nets, to
enable the sharing of projects and to build new interventions for the
future in artistic and technological fields. The ahaCamp therefore
exists as a space whereby to discuss and share knowledge, with the
objective of learning and sharing practices and knowledge in a free
environment without censorship.

By adopting the same strategies of Hackmeetings
(http://www.hackmeeting.org), the ahaCamp is organised and managed
directly by the participants, who can suggest seminars or projects that
they intend to share on the list as well as on the free and open wiki
created especially for the occasion: (http://isole.ecn.org/aha/camper/):
a nomadic space that offers further possibilities other than the list in
order to share projects, ideas, files, videos, documents, music, etc..

AHA:Activism-Hacking-Artivism is an artistic networking project founded
in 2001 by Tatiana Bazzichelli aka T_Bazz. AHA is a networking operation
created by diverse subjects and activated by contamination/integration
of a multitude of media and events, where the common denominator is
hacktivism and artistic and political activism. AHA:
Activism-Hacking-Artivism focuses on the activist collectives in Italy
and abroad that use media in an independent fashion, through
exhibitions, events, and meetings organised by T_Bazz along with other
curators that change accordingly.

The fundamental key aspect of the AHA project is the community that
develops in the mailing list aha@ecn.org, created on the 30th of
December 2002. The mailing list is moderated by T_Bazz (Tatiana
Bazzichelli), Eo_Call (Eleonora Calvelli) and Lo|Bo, and today counts
almost 600 subscribers and is a sister of the international mailing list
Nettime. The AHA: Activism-Hacking-Artivism project was awarded in
September 2007 at the ARS Electronica Festival in Linz (AU) receiving an
Honorary Mention in the Digital Communities category of the Prix Ars
Electronica.

Este mensaje es una invitacion a participar en el hackmeeting 2008 proponiendo nodos de trabajo/actividad/difusion, y tejer, como viene siendo habitual, una red de actividades y encuentros entorno al hacktivismo, el ciberespacio, la telematica y sus dimensiones tecnopoliticas; en un fin de semana liberado en el que se manifiesta el ciborg de multitudes que es el Hackmeeting (HM).

Como ya sabras el HM es un encuentro participativo en el que la dicotomia organizador/asistente se diluyen en la necesidad de autogestionar el encuentro colectivamente. Entendemos el HackMeeting como una red de activididades autoorganizadas (talleres, charlas, mesas redondas, exposiciones, posters, etc.) que hemos llamado nodos. Cualquier persona es libre de coordinar, presentar, difundir un nodo dentro del hackmeeting: UNETE A LA RED.

La ley de la UE que trata de restringir las comunicaciones P2P en el 2010 en los paises miembro, el DNI electronico, RFID, legislacion LSSI/PLCD/LSI/LOPD, chip subcutaneo y la biometria de control de masas, canon que anula la presuncion de inocencia, camaras de trafico y en ciudades que controlan los movimientos, barridos electronicos en busca de palabras “clave” en conversaciones ajenas, trafico de datos corporativo y gubernamental, listas de “delincuentes”, y un sin fin de amenazas contra las libertades fundamentales, que muchos otros antes han pagado con su sangre para que podamos disfrutarlas ahora, y que un hacktivista siempre valora.

Se acabo la hora del Gran Hermano, es tiempo de compartir libremente, de crear, de sentir, de buscar sentirse y hacer sintiendo, de realizarse, de cumplir con el deseo innato de muchos por ayudar y ser ayudados, por aprender, por decir, sonreir, teclear, codificar, tocar, hackear, explicar, y un largo numero de motivaciones que un hackmeeting contiene en su interior.

Es momento de actuar y ser consecuente. De vivir la experiencia del hacktivismo en estado puro.

Practicaban un tipo de defacement politico, que deberia haber servido para que mas de un administrador perezoso se pusiera las pilas, no para meter en un proceso penal a unos jovenes que han demostrado un gran talento como ellos.
Si buscais en la red, encontrareis una entrevista para El Mundo (paso de enlazarlos) hecha hace algunos meses.
